About The Author

author

Liza has been sewing since a small child, but began to take patchwork seriously about 15 years ago. Since then she has stitched numerous quilts and wall hangings, and for six years has taken part in an annual exhibition in Bury St Edmunds.

A tutor who runs workshops and gives illustrated talks, Liza is passionate about helping her students explore their sewing knowledge and create their own original work.

We are often asked a wide range of questions from people curious about different crafts, what might be right for them and whether they would benefit from joining a weekend retreat or short course, so together with some of our tutors, I have produced a craft book to answer the key questions you may have.

Why Our Customers Love Our Courses

Textile artist Annette’s beautiful work contributed to my decision to learn more about patchwork and quilting.   Liza from Anglia Leisure Learning made sure everything ran smoothly – thank you Liza and Annette (Morgan the tutor);  it was a wonderful weekend.

Susan Rhodes

Most useful to learn new techniques, have good company and meet like-minded people; an inspiring stimulating and enjoyable weekend.

Jenny Macleod

I really enjoyed the course and you did and excellent job organising it. The highlight was falling in love with sewing again, after a five year gap. Thank you!

Heather McInroy

I have attended two courses in the last six months. Excellent tutors and excellent venues.  I’ve learnt so many new quilting techniques.  Can’t wait until the next one.

Yvonne Gill

Just home from an amazing residential course with the talented Cas Holmes. Everything was so easy, from booking, the meet and greet, information packs and support whilst away. The hotel was perfect and Liza Jones did a brilliant job keeping everything running smoothly. I am already researching my next course.
