All about your weekend retreat

Your course

Tapestry Weaving is an ancient art form. In medieval times it was considered more prestigious than painting. Here is your opportunity to learn and develop the unique skills of warping up a frame and the standard techniques for making images in woven tapestry.

Whether you are a novice weaver or an improver, you will be able to extend your range of skills and take away your own original woven designs. Those already familiar with these techniques will have the chance to refine their fundamental skills, learn to make a cartoon and translate images or develop new textured techniques with the experience and guidance of Margaret along the way.

This course is perfect for you regardless of whether you are a beginner or experienced. You will be amazed just how quickly you can master these skills.

Your tutor

Margaret discovered her obsession for tapestry weaving in 2010 and within two years she embarked on her Master of Fine Art specialising in Tapestry Weaving. She has exhibited internationally and has work in public and private collections in both the UK and abroad. Margaret also gives lectures in tapestry weaving which demonstrates the depth of knowledge she has of the course she teaches. What a great
experience it will be to be taught by her.

Just home from an amazing residential course with the talented Cas Holmes. Everything was so easy, from booking, the meet and greet, information packs and support whilst away. The hotel was perfect and Liza Jones did a brilliant job keeping everything running smoothly. I am already researching my next course.
